A truck driver in Northern Ohio allegedly took police officers on a wild chase across 4 Ohio counties at speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
61-year-old Ronald Weaver, of Tennessee, was hauling a load of pickles when he stole a number of items from a local dollar store.
The police caught wind of his crime and sent out an officer to take pursuit. The officer caught up to Weaver but the driver would not pull over. Instead, he lead the officer on to westbound route 2 where troopers of the Ohio State Patrol joined in the pursuit.
Industrial stop sticks were deployed at I-75, outside of Toledo, but they were not enough to stop the truck.
After an hour long chase,Weaver finally lost control of his truck and drove off the road near I-75. He would have only been charge with petty theft, but because of his actions he now faces several more serious charges.
