A dispute between two truck drivers escalated into a shooting on Saturday, resulting in injuries and an arrest.
The victim told police that he was cut off by 32-year-old truck driver Carlos Dearmas near the Stuart Mine in Immokalee, Florida, as both drivers were on their way to pick up a load.
He says he got on the CB radio to tell Dearmas what he did was “messed up,” which lead to a verbal altercation between the two. However, it didn’t end there.
According to NBC News, when both drivers reached the mine Dearmas allegedly fired two shots into the victim’s cab.
The victim, whose name was not released, suffered lacerations from the shattered glass.
When cops arrived they found Dearmas inside his truck, still waiting for it be loaded. He was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.
He is currently behind held at the Collier County Jail.
