A truck driver accidentally shot a hole through his pants when a semi-automatic handgun he was carrying unintentionally fired earlier this week.

The incident occurred at the Marine View Cold Storage facility in Burlington, Washington, on Monday morning.

According to the police reports, the 51-year-old driver bent over inside the cab of his truck when the gun, which was concealed in a pocket holster, unintentionally fired.

The driver was not injured, but the shot tore a hole through his pants. No one else was involved.

Local police said the incident “was neither intentional nor reckless.”

Burlington Police Sgt. Ed Rogge said the truck driver had a valid CCW permit and was lawfully carrying the gun.
