A truck driver was seriously injured after being shot as he traveled on the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago, on Thursday evening.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the 68-year-old driver was shot in the face around 11:45 p.m.
The suspect is believed to have fired multiple shots at the driver.
When police arrived, they discovered the wounded driver inside his semi truck, which was stopped on the northbound lanes. The truck’s driver side window was shattered. He was rushed to the Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
As of Friday evening, police still don’t have a motive or a description of the suspect.
It’s the third shooting on a Chicago highway this week.
