A woman in Pennsylvania has accused trucking company Lem Moore Transportation of discrimination.

Heather Parson was laid off from her job at a local transportation company in Union Township, PA, in 2010. She claims her boss didn’t feel comfortable with her driving a truck while pregnant but officials of the company claim she told management that her doctor didn’t want her behind the wheel.

According to the FMCSA and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission(EEOC), even late-term pregnancy cannot be used to prohibit a female driver from working.

The Human Relation Commission was brought in to settle the dispute and the hearings are currently underway.
