A Los Angeles bound commuter train collided with a pickup truck that was stuck on the tracks on Tuesday morning in Ventura County, California.

The driver of the truck was first believed to be killed in the collision, but was later discovered to have fled the scene and was arrested shortly after.

Oxnard Assistant Police Chief told ABC7 News that the driver, who is from Arizona, meant to make a right turn onto a street, but accidentally turned onto the tracks and got stuck. He is now cooperating with authorities.
