A truck driver was killed after being struck by a car while chaining up on the side of an Oregon highway.
The incident occurred on Interstate 84, near North Powder, Oregon, on Sunday afternoon.
According to The Oregonian, the 51-year-old truck driver from Vancouver, Igor S. Nikolaychuk, was hit by the front bumper of the car and pushed underneath his trailer. He died at the scene.
The 21-year-old car driver, McKenna Hamilton, told police that she slipped and lost control on the icy road. Road visibility was also a factor due to the fog.
There was no word on whether charges would be filed.
