A 35-year-old truck driver was killed after being crushed by his vehicle on Thursday.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 128 and Eldorado Boulevard in Superior, Colorado.

Police believe the driver pulled over in order to check on a problem with the truck’s rear driver-side tires when it rolled forward, pinning him between the tires and the axel. He was dragged for approximately 250 feet, until the truck came to a stop.

The incident remains under investigation.
