A truck driver was killed after getting trapped under a pile of PVC pipes in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
It happened on Friday around 7:50 a.m. at 56 Lightcap Road, outside of the N.H. Yates Company. Montgomery County Police stated the 62-year-old Texas driver had just arrived with the load of pipes before the business had opened.
According to 6 ABC, the trucker started to remove the straps to unload the PVC pipes when they came crashing down on top of him. Officials noted that the driver was trying to unload materials by himself when the load shifted.
Employees later found the man under the fallen pipes.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s identity has not been released pending the notification of his next of kin.
The case remains under investigation. OSHA reported that the case would be handled by the FMCSA.
