The driver of the truck, Samuel Johnson, told reporters, “Left lane was closed, right land was closed. I didn’t want to hit the back of the bus. I valued the kids’ lives more than me, so I hit the shoulder of the road, came down beside the bus, laid the truck over.”

No one was injured in the crash.
