Earlier this week we reported on several semi trucks that were hit with bricks while traveling under a Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass.
Randy Blake was one of the drivers attacked in the violent act. He suffered a broken eye socket and a fractured jaw, and required 15 stitches.
He recently spoke to 6ABC news about the incident.
He says he was shocked “that somebody could be that stupid to do something that heinous just for the kicks of it.”
After the attack, Blade continued driving and made his way to a nearby Wawa store.
“I maintained control of the vehicle. Got off the exit. Actually drove all the way down and around to the Wawa,” he said.
Another truck driver called 911 when he saw Blake’s bloody face.
“I could’ve lost my eye, I could’ve wrecked and not only killed me but killed hundreds of other people on the interstate.” He was hauling flammable material.
Blake is schedule to undergo surgery on his eye socket in the next two weeks.
The perpetrators have not been identified, and are still on the lose.
