A Mexican drug cartel recently tried transporting nearly 10,000 pounds of Marijuana in a semi truck. The suspicious semi was stopped by U.S. Border Patrol; and what they found was several million dollars of marijuana packaged and painted to look like watermelons.
When the driver was stopped, he denied any wrong doing, however an x-ray of the truck’s contents lead to the drug bust.
Trucks coming from Mexico have been caught pulling off similar tricks in the past, like the bust in 2010 where nearly 10,000 pounds of Marijuana “watermelons” were hidden under real watermelons.
