In Elkhart County, Indiana, a truck driver was found, dead, in his semi at a rest stop.
It wasn’t until 5 in the afternoon when Indiana State Police Toll Road Post got a call from a representative from the trucking company stating that one of their driver was overdue at his destination.
The officers found the truck in the eastbound rest area by mile marker 90 in I-90 toll road with the driver dead inside.
The identity of the driver and his employer has yet to be released. The Elkhart Fire Department helped the officers pull the driver out of his vehicle at 5:40 p.m. and waited for the coroner to arrive. Sgt. Jeff Whiteman claimed the driver appeared to have died of natural causes but investigations are still underway.
