On Monday night in Wentzville, Missouri, a semi-truck driver was involved in a fatal crash. The accident happened just before 7 pm on I-70 eastbound and I-64.
The crash report stated that when the semi-truck driver missed an exit near the I-64 interchange in Wenstzville, he then stopped in the left lane. Truck driver, 55-year-old David Strembsky, then attempted to change several lanes in order to make another exit. An SUV driving behind the semi was unable to stop before rear-ending the truck.
According to KMOV, the SUV driver, 29-year-old Lauren Smith of Warrenton, Missouri was killed in the collision.
Several lanes were closed while officials investigated the incident. All lanes were reopened by Tuesday morning.
The truck driver was cited for careless driving.
