A truck driver was charged with a misdemeanor after bringing a gun to a fistfight with another trucker on the shoulder of Interstate 95.
According to The Free Lance-Star, the driver was identified as 43-year-old Michael Vitture of Parker, Florida.
The incident began after the two drivers got into an argument over the CB radio in Stafford County, Virginia. After a back-and-forth argument, which included racial slurs and name calling, the two agreed to pull over on the shoulder of Interstate 95 to settle their differences with a fistfight.
The 52-year-old victim says when Vitture pulled out a pistol after the two squared up face-to-face. The victim says he retreated back to his rig and called police.
Police caught up with Vitture near a gas station several miles away. He confirmed that the two had an argument and admitted to pulling over to fight. Officers also discovered the handgun in his truck’s sleeper berth.
Vitture was charged with a misdemeanor for brandishing a firearm. He received a summons and was released on the same day.
