A truck driver in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, failed to properly back into a loading dock and then got into an argument with workers, before being arrested on suspicion of DUI on Tuesday.

According to police reports, 51-year-old truck driver Michael Pernell Damico was attempting to back his semi truck into the loading dock of a building where he was to make his delivery.

After several unsuccessful attempts, a worker told Damico to “reposition the truck”. That’s when he stormed into the building and began threatening employees, witnesses say.

Police were called to the scene and questioned Damico, who denied threatening workers.

According to Lehighvalleylive.com, as officers were questioning the driver, one of the officers “detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath”. The police report also noted that he had “slurred speech” and “bloodshot eyes”.

Damico told officers he drank Captain Morgan rum several hours before work. He refused to take chemical blood test, but was arrested under suspicion of DUI, as the engine of his truck was still running when officers arrived.

Damico was unable to post the $35,000 bond and was taken to the Northampton County Prison.
