An 18-wheeler crashed into an apartment complex in California, seriously injuring the driver and his passenger.

It happened in Fullerton, California, on Sunday morning.

According to FOX 11, the Volvo tractor veered off eastbound Imperial Highway for unknown reasons and plowed into the apartment complex around 6 a.m.

The 44-year-old male truck driver and his 42-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries. A 40-year old couple and their daughter, who were inside the building, suffered minor injuries.

5 apartments were evacuated after the crash.

Fullerton police closed Imperial Highway in both directions after the crash, but it has since reopened.
