A truck hauling intermodal containers lost it’s load last last weekend after the trailer detached from the cab.
This incident occurred on Highway 17 and 43 in Craven County, North Carolina.
The driver, Isiah Spencer, of Virgina Beach says the trailer came loose after he made a turn, then whipped into the back of his truck and sliced a tire on his rig causing it to overturn.
Spencer was unharmed and no other vehicles were hit during the accident.
Troopers say the load was never properly secured and that the trucks king pin was not properly maintained. The driver was charged for the failure to properly secure his load.
