The Georgia Department of Transportation has issued a traffic warning due to a massive 638,000 pound oversize load that will be passing through metro Atlanta on Wednesday evening.

The truck will be accompanied by two Georgia State Patrol cars and moving message boards. The load is expected to travel up to 45 miles up hour, but will drop as low as 5 miles per hour on bridges.
The massive load will begin its journey on Wednesday at 7 p.m., headed west on the I-20 to Newton County. It’s expected to reach its final destination in Bartow County around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Georgia DOT is urging drivers to exercise extreme caution around the oversize load.
