A truck driver was killed after falling off an overpass in Mesquite, Texas, on Thursday morning.
According to police reports, the truck was traveling from northbound I-635 to westbound U.S. Highway 80 when it struck a guardrail and plunged off the overpass into a concrete ditch 50 feet below. It happened around 2:10 a.m.
The Dallas News reported that the impact partially flattened the tractor trailer.
Mesquite police identified the driver as 44-year-old Jerome Lamon Thomas of Dallas. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
