A tractor trailer hauling a load of hay collapsed and spilled its load after striking a tunnel in Mobile, Alabama, on Sunday.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the Bankhead Tunnel.

The truck attempted to enter the tunnel, which was marked with a 12’0″ height clearance and got wedged between the road and the tunnel’s ceiling.

The impact caused the trailer to collapse and spill the truck’s load of hay onto the roadway.

The truck was stuck in the tunnel for several hours, until it was finally removed around 9:30 p.m. according to WPMI.

No injuries were reported, however one passenger car was damaged in the incident.
