A tow truck driver was killed after falling off an overpass while assisting an overturned semi truck on Tuesday morning.
It happened on the Congress Avenue Interstate 95 overpass in Boca Raton, Florida, shortly before 5:30 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the tractor trailer lost control while trying to take a highway exit ramp and struck a concrete barrier, causing the truck to partially hang off the overpass.

While assisting the overturned semi truck, tow truck operator stepped over the highway barrier and onto a concrete platform. He later “stepped over the edge [of the platform] and fell onto I-95 and died,” local WPTV.com reported.
The highway was closed for hours, but has since reopened.
The driver of the semi truck, 38-year-old Adrian Figueredo, was not hurt in the crash. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the truck to overturn.
