
Three big rigs and a passenger vehicle were involved in a wreck on Interstate 459 in Birmingham, Alabama on Monday morning.
The accident happened around 10:22 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-459 at the Overton Road exit.
Two of the three trucks involved ended up partially hanging over the overpass, above the Cahaba River. After the impact, one truck jackknifed over the right barrier, the other hung over the left lane barrier.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Alabama.com reported that paramedics were called to the scene, but the extent of any injuries are not known.

The southbound lanes were completely closed after the crash. (Update: As of 4 p.m., one southbound lane has reopened, however significant traffic congestion was reported.)
