Deputies in Cumberland County, North Carolina, arrested three men for throwing large rocks at semi trucks off an overpass on Interstate 95.

According to ABC-11, while patrolling the area, local police discovered three men, who matched witnesses description, near the overpass at mile marker 65. The three men tried to flee the scene in a white BMW, but were taken into custody by officers.

They were initially charged with misdemeanors, but the charges were upgraded to felonies due to the size of rocks that were thrown.

Officers say that some of the rocks were as large as bricks.

In total, four semi trucks and one passenger vehicle were hit. One of the brick-sized rocks shattered a truck driver’s windshield and barely missed the driver.

The three men are being held on $250,000 bond.
