Thousand of people have signed an online petition asking Walmart to remove a toy semi truck from their shelves because ‘it promotes murder of animals”.
The model that sparked the complaint is the Big Farm 1:32 Peterbilt Model 579 Semi with Livestock Trailer.
The petition titled ‘Walmart: Please stop selling toy slaughter trucks’ was created on Change.org and has been signed by over 13,000 people.
It reads as follows:
Please ask C. Douglas Mcmillon CEO of Walmart to stop selling toy slaughter trucks in Walmart stores.
Normalizing the enslavement and murder of animals to kids is not ok.
Many took to social media to support this “cause”.

Others expressed their outrage in the comment section of the online petition.
The petition was even signed by several truck drivers.
Most truck drivers, however, responded like this.
Wal-Mart hasn’t responded to the petition, but a quick glance at their website shows that the toy is currently out of stock.
