More than 500 vehicles were trapped on the Pennsylvania Turnpike since Friday night, but some people figured out how to make the best of a bad situation.
Take for example, this guy, Scott Watts from Omaha. He pulled out his trumpet and began playing one of the most appropriate songs for the occasion, “Let It Snow.”
The video was uploaded by KETV reporter DaVonté McKenith, who posted the following caption:
When you’re stranded on a turnpike in #Pennsylvania, you pull out a trumpet and start to play ‘Let it Snow!’ This is Scotts Watts, one of the seminarians for the Archdiocese of Omaha , playing to entertain stranded folks. #blizzard2016
Good spirits are all you need to push through a tough battle. Great to see this from #Omaha locals.
Drivers were finally rerouted off the turnpike on Saturday evening, more than 24 hours after getting stuck.
A stretch of the turnpike is still closed as of Sunday morning, however officials say it will be reopened later in the day.
