About $1 million was found in the back of a deceased truck driver’s semi trailer in Marshall, Texas.
Authorities are currently investigating who the million belongs to and how it ended up in the back of the trailer.
Tom McCool, Harrison County Sheriff, said the driver of the semi was killed after being hit by a pickup on I-20. The truck driver’s load ignited after the crash on Dec 2nd.
The money was found wrapped in tinfoil and plastic. Some of it was damaged by the flames. Some officials believe the money is related to organized crime.
The driver of the pickup will not have charges filed against him and the money is to be divided between McCool’s office and the district attorney.
