Two teenagers have been charged with burglary after breaking into a loaded semi truck and stealing several tubs of ice cream in West Weber, Utah.

Authorities didn’t have to conduct a lengthy investigation to find the suspects however, they filmed themselves committing the crime and broadcasted it live on social media.

The two 16-year-old’s live-streamed their entire escapade on the Twitter video app, Periscope. The video was forwarded to the Weber County Sheriff Office by a local resident who was watching the live stream.

Police later identified the owner of the semi truck, who confirmed that the vehicle was his.

According to official reports, the two teens placed the tubs of stolen ice cream on their neighbor’s front porches as gifts.

They were charged with burglary and theft in juvenile court.
