In Leelanau County, Michigan, a teenage driver’s failure to properly yield caused a semi-truck to crash.

The accident occurred on M-72 just west of Solon Road in Solon Township at Grumpy’s Market. According to Fox 17 News, a 16 year-old driver, carrying a passenger friend, attempted to take a left turn after leaving Grumpy’s Market.

The teenager failed to yield, and pulled out onto the road in front of a semi truck and trailer. The 32 year-old truck driver was forced to swerve out of the way, causing him to lose control and hit the roadside Grumpy’s Market sign.

This was the result.

Nobody was injured in the accident and the teen was given a ticket for failing to yield to the truck driver.
