What’s more shocking than getting hit by a truck hauling a house? Surviving it.

That’s exactly what happened to one teen in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, last week.

Three teenagers were headed home from their first day of school and attempted to cross a busy road. One of the students wasn’t able to make it across in time and walked directly into the path of an oncoming semi truck.

He was struck by the truck’s oversize load — a mobile home.

After impact, the boy was dragged for 70 feet. Miraculously, he was able to get up and walk away on his own.

The truck driver immediately stopped and called police. He was not at fault and faces no charges, but was visibly shaken by the incident.

“I spoke to him 45 minutes to an hour after it happened, and his hands were still shaky,” Pauls Valley Assistant Police Chief Derrick Jolley said. “He was terrified. He thought he killed this child.”

The boy suffered a broken elbow and will undergo surgery next week — which is not a bad outcome for someone that was crushed by a house.
