A collision involving two semi trucks on I-10 left a big rig’s cab completely destroyed.
The incident occurred on Thursday around 10:48 a.m. in Scott, Louisiana. It happened when an SUV quickly switched lanes, cutting off a semi truck behind it. The truck driver hit the brakes to avoid colliding with the SUV ahead. But because that truck driver stopped so suddenly, a semi truck behind it was unable to stop before rear-ending the first truck.
According to The Advocate, the first big rig was hauling oilfield pipes.
The second semi truck was impaled by the pipes.
There was significant damage to the second semi truck, but luckily no one was hurt.
The accident shut down parts of westbound I-10 for several hours while crews worked to clear the mangled mess.
