
A truck driver was shot during a robbery while resting in a secluded lot in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the armed robber approached the Werner semi truck around 3 pm. and demanded cash. When the trucker said he didn’t have any, the suspect shot through his driver’s side window, grazing the driver in the head.
The driver, whose name has not been released, is recovering in the hospital. He is reportedly awake and expected to recover.
Police initially took two individuals into custody, however they were released after investigators determined they had no involvement in the crime.
The suspect, who’s still on the run, is describe as a 5’6″ black male, with dreadlocks with blond tips, wearing all black.
