Reports indicate that at least 10 semi trucks have overturned due to strong winds on the 14 Freeway in California.
According to ABC-7 the highway has been closed between Aveneue D in Lancaster to the Los Angeles-Kern County line. The closure is approximately 100 miles.
Winds up to 76 mph were recorded in the area. The high winds also created sand storms which significantly reduced visibility.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Update (1:55 p.m.): The highway has been reopened for passenger vehicles, but remains closed for semi trucks and other large profile vehicles.
