
Police in Spokane, Washington arrested a man who took them on a chase in a stolen Walmart semi truck on Thursday.
The chase began when a 911-caller alerted police of a Walmart truck that was driving erratically in a school zone. When police arrive, the driver refused to stop and fled the area.
Four schools in the area were shut down as a precaution.
A witnesses explained how the semi truck left the road and drove through a field during the chase. He said the truck was doing “at least 60 in a 30.”

Police were able to detain the driver around 12 p.m., after he crashed the stolen tractor trailer at an intersection. The chase lasted approximately 40 minutes.
The truck was reportedly stolen from a Walmart Supercenter in Airway Heights, Washington.
The driver of the truck was identified as Daren Suiter. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude Pursuing Police Vehicle, Hit and Run, Hit and Run Unattended Property, and Theft.
No one was injured.
