A Connecticut state trooper was responding to a highway collision between two vehicles, when he caught this wild scene on his dash cam.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning on Interstate 95 near Fairfield, Connecticut.

Two men who were involved in a highway collision were waiting on the side of the road for officers to arrive.

Shortly after the trooper arrived, a Nissan Maxima plowed into one of the disabled vehicles at a high rate of speed, barely missing the motorists.

A Connecticut State Police press release said the Nissan came “within inches of the cruiser in the right shoulder and violently striking one of the vehicles involved in the original two-vehicle accident.”

The driver of the Maxima, 21-year-old Yoni Rojas, suffered minor injuries and was arrested on charges of endangerment and reckless driving. His bond was set at $2,500.
