After being closed for 14 days, a stretch of southbound Interstate 75 just south of the Kentucky/Tennessee border has finally reopened.
The highway was closed in both directions since February 26th, due to rock slides. On Wednesday, the southbound lanes were completely reopened.

The northbound lanes remain closed, however the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation expects one lane on the northbound side to reopen by March 24th or earlier.
According to WKYT, northbound traffic is being diverted at exit 134, onto US 25W, and then back to I-75 north at exit 160 in Jellico.
The road work caused by the rock slide will be completely finished by April 15th.
