A concrete truck in Texas sped past a red light and swerved into a oncoming passenger vehicle.

Amazingly, the driver of the Toyota minivan that was struck, Dr. Guan Zhu, a professor at Texas A&M University, survived the head on collision with just minor injuries.

The incident took place on the northbound lane of Wellborn Road in College Station, Texas.

The driver of the rig lost control after running a red light, then rolled over after crashing into the professor’s minivan, spilling it’s load of cement on the road.

It took clean up crews several hours to clear the scene. The driver of of the cement truck was ticketed for the incident.
