A crash involving two semi trucks and two cars shutdown three lanes on Interstate 90 in Illinois on Monday morning.

The incident happened on the westbound lanes, around 5:45 a.m., near Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates.

The Chicago Tribune reported that one of the truck drivers suffered minor injuries in the crash.

As of 6:45 a.m., three westbound lanes remain closed. Transportation officials are warning drivers to expect heavy delays.

The exact cause of the crash is not currently known, however snowy and slippery roads are believed to have played a factor.
