At least two people were killed in Kingdom City, Missouri, on Tuesday due to a multi-vehicle crash, which included several semi trucks.
The incident occurred on Interstate 70, near the Kingdom City exit, around 9:15 in the morning.
According to ABC News, a semi truck that was traveling on the westbound lanes lost control and plowed through the highway median, crashing into another truck head-on on the eastbound lanes. Several other vehicles, including a third semi, were involved in the the pileup that ensued.
In addition to the two confirmed fatalities, five other people suffered injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 were completely shut down for several hours after the crash, however one lane has since been opened. The Missouri Department of Transportation has warned of massive delays in the area as the cleanup continues, and advised drivers to take alternate routes.
