A train collided with a tractor trailer that got stuck on railroad tracks in Marietta, Georgia.

The CSX train, consisting of three locomotives and 154 rail cars, collided with the truck at Loudermilk Drive and Marble Mill Road around 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

AJC reported that the truck driver attempted to cross over train tracks but became lodged and unable to move.

Officer Brittany Wallace explained, “Our officers came to the conclusion that part of the truck was resting lower than it should have been.”

The intersection near Marietta Square was temporarily closed while crews cleared the area.

The Marietta Police Department cited the truck driver for “load dragging on highway and wheels causing pounding on road surface.”
