A tractor trailer hauling a load of brand new Mercedes Benz vehicles overturned in Harrison County, Kentucky, this morning.
The incident happened around 8:30 in the morning, on Highway 36, approximately 10 miles west of Cynthiana.
According to WKYT, the driver of the the truck was heading toward Interstate 75 when the crash occurred.
Sheriff Shane Stephens said the truck may have lost control due to an animal on the roadway.
The west bound lane of Highway 36 was closed as a result, and eastbound traffic is heavily delayed due to the clean up. Thankfully, the truck driver was not injured.
“This road isn’t meant for semis, it’s too curvy,” Sheriff Stephens said. “If you operate on this road you need to careful. Fortunately he’s ok.”
Troopers say it’ll take well into the afternoon, and possibly into the evening, until the crash is completely cleared.
