In West Springfield, Massachusetts, a semi truck got stuck under a bridge, causing traffic delays.

The incident occurred on Monday evening near the intersection of Main and Bridge streets.

The semi truck did not meet height clearance, and collided with the bridge while driving in the eastbound lane.

Its roof was cut off and debris from the wreckage scattered across the roadway.

Crews worked to clear the scene.

Mass Live  that by 6:30 p.m., a truck from Red’s Towing arrived at the scene to extricate the smashed truck from the bridge.

As of 8:40 p.m., the area was cleared, and traffic was back to normal.

It is reportedly unknown if the driver will be cited.
