A semi truck was involved in a crash just outside of Chicago, after its two co-drivers got into a heated debate while the truck was in motion.

The crashed occurred on LaGrange Road, in La Grange, Illinois, on September 16th.

The altercation began when 37-year-old co-driver Shimone Graves left the truck’s sleeper berth and punched the 42-year-old driver in the mouth after a verbal argument.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Graves then pulled out a knife and lunged at the driver, who took a hand off the steering wheel in order to grab and bite Grave’s forearm to prevent getting stabbed.

As the driver was attempting to defend himself, the truck crashed into another vehicle on the road. Nobody was injured as a result of the crash.

The victim said the two were on the road for three days before the fight broke out and had not been “getting along.”

Graves was arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 6th.
