In Nashville, Tennessee, a semi hauling 40,000 pounds of pumpkins crashed into the bedroom of a 66-year-old woman. The woman’s name was Carol Boo. She was sleeping in her bed when the truck came smashing in around 3:30 in the morning.

Police say she was dead when they arrived on the scene. Her husband and son were in the house at the time as well, but were resting in separate rooms.

The driver of the truck, 34-year-old Leonard Wilson, was on his way from Virginia to Mt. Juliet to drop off the pumpkins when he claims he lost control of his truck shortly after it began to wobble. He drove through several yards before colliding with Boo’s house.

The truck remained in the bedroom for hours before finally being removed. The damage to the house was devastating. Wilson showed no signs of impairment so no charges were immediately filed, though a sample of his blood was taken for analysis.
