
A truck driver had a really bad first day on the job after hitting a low overpass in Tonawanda, New York, on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened under the Young St. CSX bridge, around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to WIVB.com, the driver of the truck was 24-year-old Canadian resident Kirisanthan Senathi. He reportedly told police that it was his “first day on the job.”
Senathi wasn’t injured, but received a citation for the crash.
The bridge is marked with an 11’6″ height clearance, approximately 2 feet shorter than the average height of a tractor trailer.
No one else was involved in the accident.
