
A very large oversize load overturned in southwest Missouri on Wednesday evening, blocking both directions of traffic for several hours.
The incident happened on Route 13, north of Clinton.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the truck was hauling a 430,000 pound, 232-foot long power generator.
As of 9 p.m. (CDT), the road was still blocked and MoDOT announced that the closure will last for “several more hours.” It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the incident.
Traffic is currently being detoured using Henry County Routes N & M.

Route 13 has been reopened. Officials blamed “mechanical failure” as the cause of the crash.
