Police in Coolbaugh Township, Pennsylvania, have confirmed that two young women who died in a crash with a semi truck were on streaming on Facebook Live when the crash occurred.
17-year-old Brooke Hughes and 19-year-old Chaniya Morrison were hit from behind by the tractor trailer while traveling at a dangerously slow rate of speed and live streaming on the social network.
In the clip, which has since been removed, Hughes can be seen driving down Interstate 380 while holding her cellphone, The Times-Tribune reported.
Morrison then asks “Are you going to live?”
Moments later, screeching tires and a loud impact can be heard before the screen goes black.
Investigators say that the their low rate of speed may have contributed to the crash. Police are currently using a copy of the video to continue their investigation.
