Illinois State Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday night on Interstate 94 in Chicago, which left one truck driver wounded.

According to ABC-7 news, the 29-year-old truck driver was shot in the leg around 8:30 p.m. as he traveled on the Bishop Ford Freeway near 130th street.

Two bullet holes were discovered in the passenger side of the truck. Officers are trying to determine if the shooting was caused by road rage, and are still searching for the shooter.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
