Police believe a truck driver was dead for several days before being found at a gas station in Kendall County, Missouri.

The deceased driver, 64-year-old Missouri-resident Kevin Kealy, was discovered inside his trailer on Thursday afternoon at the Citgo on Ridge Rd. in Minooka. He had pulled over at the gas station several days earlier, an investigation uncovered.

Authorities say Kealy was killed after being crushed by 8 ft. tall sheets of plywood while moving items in his trailer, WSPY News reported.

The Citgo is located on 17845 Ridge Rd.

Kealy was reported missing by his company after noticing that his delivery was not completed. They used the truck’s GPS to locate the driver and report the information to police.

Kendall County Coroner Jacquie Purcell called the incident “terribly unfortunate,” and says traumatic asphyxiation was the likely cause of death.
