
Within the span of two days, three truck drivers were robbed at gunpoint in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
Fox 8 reported that the first incident occurred on August 23rd at a McDonald’s in Austinburg Township. It was not reported if the thief successfully robbed the driver.
The second took place at a Pilot truck stop, also in Austinburg Township on August 24th. During that robbery, $180 in Canadian dollars was stolen.
The third crime happened only 30 minutes after the previous robbery on the 24th. That driver was robbed of $600 at Travel America in Kingsville.
The victims described the suspects as two black males in their early 20’s. One man has a small build, no facial hair and was wearing a ball cap. The other suspect has facial hair.
They drove a small dark-colored late-model Pontiac. The men were armed when they fled the scenes of the crimes.
The suspects’ gun was recovered and was later found to have been stolen from Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania.
Police continue to hunt for the suspects, and an investigation is ongoing.
